I've been M.I.A. for a while now! School has been consuming all of my time recently and the same goes for work. I was able to get away to Tahoe for a little bit during the Orionid meteor showers and rented out a couple of new lenses to try out. The first two photos were taken while just messing around at a downtown parking garage with my friend Jordan, and the rest were taken at various spots in the North Lake Tahoe area. I was able to snag some choker's from this rad start-up here in Reno called The Golden Choke (go check them out on Instagram @thegoldenchoke), and took my friend Jordan into the desert to take some photos. There is this awesome salt flat in Cold Springs Valley, NV, just a short 20 minute drive outside of Reno. These are just a couple of the photos that we took, and the results are nothing short of amazing. At least I think so (Jordan rocked the SH** out of this)! I was able to style her clothing as well, which was fun. I chose neutrals and earthy tones to match the scenery. Hope you all enjoy!

I've been M.I.A. for quite some time this summer! I apologize for the lack of content. Between summer classes, work, and vacation, I have been going non-stop the last couple of months. Like many of you, I can feel the summer blues. The seasons are changing, and fall is right around the corner. Before that happens, I wanted to share a couple of photos that I took while on vacation on the east coast in the trip state area (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York borders). My uncle lives in a home situated on Lake Owassa and he was hosting the entire family for my cousin's wedding! It was a blast being able to take his kayaks out and explore the many coves and passage ways that exist in this area. I hope everyone had a pleasant summer filled with fun memories, and prepare yourselves for the cold weather!

I spent the late afternoon yesterday driving to random spots throughout Reno, Verdi, and the Lake Tahoe area (Truckee, more specifically). I was really feeling the itch to break in my new camera a bit more and go on a couple of adventures without any clue where I was going. It ended up being a blast, and luckily I had a good adventure buddy. The first photo in this series is my favorite, simply because I have never had a good enough camera to take a long exposure of the stars, with no city lights around to ruin the view. I broke out my camera yesterday and asked a friend to model for me in various locations in Reno, NV. She's a natural in front of the lens, and you can totally tell! Her name is Jordan and she's super rad. If you get the chance, check her out on Instagram (@jordan.blythe). The choker she is wearing in all of the photos is actually the main focus of this shoot! My good friend Lanea has a great up-and-coming business started here in Reno, making handmade choker necklaces that are really hip and have a great message behind them. Her company is totally supporting ladies who kick ass and hopes to contribute to organizations like Safe Embrace, which helps women who have suffered from domestic or sexual abuse.
